About Impact Waves
There is a critical gap between learning and real-world opportunities, leaving many struggling to transition into meaningful careers, entrepreneurship, an issue that disproportionately affects young people, women and immigrants due to systemic barriers, limited networks, and biases in the job market. At the same time, organizations working with these groups face challenges in designing and delivering programs and services that effectively address their unique needs and aspirations.
At Impact Waves, our goal is to bridge this gap between education and careers / entrepreneurship for youth, women and immigrants - two groups in society that are often overlooked and not given the recognition and the opportunities they deserve.
Since the pandemic, change significantly accelerated, bringing greater uncertainty, a growing mental health crisis, and a rising demand for upskilling and social-emotional skills. This shift also calls for a new approach in education - one that goes beyond simple knowledge exchange, equipping us to navigate this new, changing world both personally and professionally.
At Impact Waves, we are aware of the challenges these communities face. Our trauma-informed framework of wellbeing - self-leadership - learning - careers / entrepreneurship embedded in everything we do, because we know that growth isn't just about gaining new skills - it is about gaining the confidence, resilience, and clarity needed to turn knowledge into action. We believe that real change starts from within - within ourselves and within our communities. That’s why our work goes beyond theory: we support women and immigrants develop the skills, strategies, and mindset to make informed decisions, advocate for themselves, and move forward in their careers, businesses, and lives with confidence.
Until now, we've supported more than 200 people through our programs, workshops and coaching. Increased confidence, more clarity, better-informed decision making, tools & methodologies to enhance wellbeing during difficult times and transitions are some of the results they have reported back.
